I never had the chance to record with "Queen", so I don't know.
I never joined a boy band of gay sexpots, never was a lip sync plastic pop star, nor was I as short and ugly as the least talented of the seven dwarfs. "Crappy" comes to mind. ...
But in case you phrased it wrong. .. . What is my favorite underappreciated QUEEN song?
First thing to mind (I'll pick four)
1: It's Late
2. Prophet's Song
3. I'm Going Slightly Mad
4. You Don't Fool Me
Death on two legs should be as well.
That menacing ugly bitter but beautiful song should be known by every hard rock fan.
Too bad the people at qpl don't think so and rank their appreciation of Freddie' s genius upon his 80's gay cliché appearance and posturing.
Imho: he outdid most of the seventies "rock gods" onstage possibly excepting Robert Plant .... but Fred's instrumentation exceeded what Plant did onstage.
IF ONLY THERE WAS SOMETHING TO SHOW THE PUBLIC TO RECOGNIZE THAT LEGACY
(You fumbling doofus fart mother fuckers)

'pon reflection, some contractors at my workplace a couple o years ago, would always have planet rock radio on as they were rock fans, and hardly a day went by when they didn't play 'brighton rock'
- sez a lot.

Dragon Attack. Should've been released as a single.

I think almost every song on their first 3 albums is under-rated. Some amazing songs there! White Queen, March of the Black Queen, Ogre Battle, The night comes down, Brighton Rock, Stone Cold Crazy, Bring back that Leroy Brown, Lap of the Gods... Tenement Funster...? I could go on and on.
And of course Death on Two legs, and Dragon Attack.
A really difficult choice since most people are only aware of Queen's 'Greatest Hits', and the rest are pretty under-rated..

The March Of The Black Queen, hands down.
Everyone in the civilized world knows BoRhap, and this was a very important developmental step on the road to that for the band, Freddie particularly.

Hard to say, it depends on who you're talking to.
For this 'community' I would say The Night Comes Down. Also, both versions of In The Lap Of The Gods. I love basically all of their first five albums. Seaside Rendezvous is another that comes to mind.

millionaire waltz.
i really love the way freddie does the vocals. so theatrical and emotional. it's camp. it's cute, it's just a perfect example what queen was in the 70s. !

Way too many were and are underrated! Drives me nuts to hear the same ones over and over on the radio and I always think...why o why don't they play March Of The Black Queen? Millionaire Waltz? Lap of the Gods? So so many that people would love if only...
