The cross dit record heaven for everyone with freddie on vocals during the shove it sessions. I was wondering if life changes has been recorded by freddie too.
The kind of song is suitable for freddie's vocals. it is a great song. Probably my favourite one.

I have learned this song on my piano, it works very well.
I still have the feeling this is a freddie song.

What do you think ?

Just RT know it..but anyway I doubt it...long ago a fan asked to BM if Freddie recorded the song "new dark ages", but BM told him he didn´t remember it and even he didn´t know what song was..

Not just RT. In case Freddie did record it, there were probably other people in the studio at the moment: producers, engineers, teaboys, tealadies, roadies. Moreover, if they showed the demo to a record company executive, that person knows as well, etc. So maybe the amount of people who know for a fact whether Freddie recorded it or not is around 20, tops, but again, it's not just RT.

Brian doesn't remember loads of things. He's claimed MFK was on Queen II, they'd never played It's Late live, TFFMS'd been recorded at Wessex as part of the ANATO/ADATR sessions, John'd played guitar on live versions of BC, LOML was on SHA (or was it ADATR?), Fred didn't play Steinway pianos, etc.

Granted, loads of things the Doctor says are spot on, but loads of them aren't. Which group does the NDA claim belong to? Time will tell... perhaps.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Actually John did pay guitar on Back Chat live. Freddies touring piano was a Steinway, as you say, however in a lot of the recording sessions from 82 onwards a Yamaha was used.
S
John played a Musicman Stingray bass on Back Chat live, and a Fender Telecaster guitar on Staying Power.

Steinway pianos were used for many (not all) Queen recordings before and after 1982.

I put it in massive doubt that Freddie sing on a "CROSS" song after 1989. Simple Fact - he didn`t like them after they were guests on his birthday party and showing rude behavior - maybe his illness makes him more sensible.
Munich - Cocaine and low taxes ! You can add me on FB - Musicland Munich QZ - don`t miss the QZ !

Its been a long time since I read the sleeve notes on Blue Rock, wasn't Life Changes a Spike Edney song? If so I doubt that Freddie would have sang a version for a possible queen release. There are a few Cross tracks though that could have made decent Queen tracks.

He didn't need to like them as people in order to like one of their songs (besides HfE, of course). At least we know he liked Roger and Spike, and those two wrote loads of Cross songs anyway.

Hmm, I should read my copy then... God damn am I ever lazy with books...
T
Extremely annoying that the book doesn't give sources for claims like this, making it mere hearsay.

I suspect Jim was actually there. Why would he cite a source for it, if that were the case? Not that I'm saying he didn't exaggerate it (or that he did).
