Cowboys And Indians Promo CD

Does anyone know for certain how many of these were produced?

I got hold of one of these in 1987 whilst browsing a record stall that sold rare CDs & records in Kingston market. While there a Virgin rep turned up and was offloading some promo stock. He explained to the guy that ran the stall that he had one of these left, he didn't know who the Cross were and was offloading it. He said that only twelve copies were made. The stallholder turned to me and said "Do you want it?"

I said "How much?"

He said "Well if there's only twelve of them it's yours for £12"

I said "Go on then"

So, has anyone got any better information in terms of how many were really made? Since 1987 I've only seen evidence of two other copies.

Very likely not 12 copies. I've seen quite some for sale in the past 15 years or so. The value has also only gone down in the past years. Think that the edited version of C&I is actually slightly diff than the 7".
