Your band ain't so bad. I think the singers work better in conjunction than they do with lead vocals (something very 'stagey' about the overall sound, do they have a background in musicals?), and if you're serious about taking on songs of that caliber then you might want to invest in a better guitarist (or maybe get 2 of them onboard to share the load).
Also - ditch the backing during the opera section. It sounds intimidating at first and will take a bit of work to be fully up to speed, but you'll have a better band at the end of it.

Far from excellent or awesome, but yes, it's one of the better covers. Does the black guy sing in musicals? He sounds like a musical singer. And I miss the fun. That's the reason why I can't watch most cover bands - they concentrate fully on being "perfect" and they forget to enjoy the song they're playing.
