forums worse than this one

The lack of basic moderation at this forum has helped facilitate the creation of a safe haven for trolls of all shapes and sizes, or more simply put, it has receded into a cesspool of shit worse than it has ever been.

So in an attempt to improve the quality discourse here, I'm starting an educational thread with the aim of listing off forums that are somehow worse than this one. I hypothesize that there are very few.

And here's a fun paradox that will make any triple digit IQ skip a beat: The less responses this thread gets the better, because it will lend credence to the above theory. But - the more responses it gets, the more the cesspool will grow.

i.e. the game is rigged. But do play along either way. Thank you for (not) participating.

I totally agree, this place has degenerated into a mixture of trolls and fuckwits
I rarely see topics that are relevant or interesting to that majority of fans, most just see to be populated with people spouting shit or nonsense.

I think the concept of a none regulated forum was a worthy idea but now we are just witnessing the internet feeding off itself. You will always get a minority of numpties wanting to make waves but this is now mostly a pointless place to discuss anything related to the band.

Once in a while someone comes up with an interesting topic, and for a few brief moments we have a sensible debate or exchange of information but it is getting less and less.

Please bring in some form of moderation or pretty well all serious fans will start to drift off.

This place has pretty much become the 4chan of the Queen "fandom"

I do not use messageboards very much, but the few that I do use are all FAR less troll infested than this one.

This is definitely the worst board I post at, although most of the problems seem to be caused by just one or two people.

I think Jeremy Kapone should play Adam Lambert in the upcoming movie about how Freddie got AIDS from watching his favourite singers perform Bohemian Rhapsody at a Fantomololology convention backed up by the Greg Brooks Band.

It took a while for QZ to grow on me, but I do believe that it has more serious discussions and more honest reviews and opinions than e.g. QOL.

In my opinion that makes QOL worse, and it also makes this topic pointless.

If the QOL moderators are still as self-important as they were 10 years ago, then QZ in its current state is much better than QOL.

IMHO QOL has gotten better over the last few years.

what grinds my gears is a good topic that gets turned into a war against trolls.

that and remove all user signatures. a 5 worded reply does not warrant stamping it each time with a users 5 line queen quote that bloats the replies. I dont care to read them or sift through it. facebook is for that crap.

I joined QOL recently and was shocked at how bad it was. One of the mods started ranting about something one of their friends had posted on Facebook in the middle of the The Lot thread. One of the mods!

I think the key problem is already said - No proper mods - on QZ. BUT for example the german fanclub site is over protectet by the mods in my opinion...so just a few people use it constantly... the future of www.queenfcg.de is in question.
