A show that took place literally down the street, but ten year old me wasn't aware of...

A friend recently told me that he and his pals left not long into Guns And Roses' set, as they just came to see Brian.


They probably encored with Hammer To Fall, but it seems like this was taped on a 60 minute cassette (the original running time was 58 minutes before speed correction). The recording sounds very good.

Dr. May, during the band intros: "On inimitable and always acceptable drums, Mr. Cozy Powell."

I remember the audience being really into Brian's show. My non-Queen friends were impressed. and a loooong wait for GnR.

On Paradise City someone threw something at Axl and he stopped singing and left the stage leaving Duff to take over vocals and end the show. Good times!

I have drove through it, on my way to Niagra Falls, from what I can remember there's a big gigantic Steelworks, hardly seems the place Brian would play, but nether the less, he did (not the steelworks that is, but the town).. but then again I am from the UK, so what do I know?

Yeah, that's what you see from the highway ... but it's actually a pretty big city (over 500,000 population) with a lot of arts, culture and diversity. The steel industry has been dying for years now, so it's trying to reinvent itself in the same way Pittsburgh and Glasgow have.

I was at this show...still have the shirt...I went to see Brian specifically ...and although I liked G n R they seemed to be going through the motions that night. Thanks for the up..brings back memories...

Just goes to show what people miss by not having a stop over. I mean I spent time in Toronto, Travelled to Niagra on the Lake & then Niagra Falls, but never even gave Hamilton a second thought..well, my loss... as you say, it is full of culture. :-(
