Queen live at WEMBLEY 1986 is being aired on UK HD TV CHANNEL 4 hd, as part of a Rock night, which includes a documentary 50 YEARS OF ROCK EXCESS Which is on at 10.11pm channel 4 HD
The Queen concert is on at 12.15 am before that there is a Queen's of the Stone Age concert that was part of itunes festival 2013, that starts at 11.20pm (makes you wonder if that is some kind of comment on Queen - queen's of the Stone Age!) after the 50 years of rock excess doc.
The Rolling Stones never air after some neolithic documentary on Stone Age men for instance!
I bet if there were some rock group called Queen are shite- they would have put that on before them!
why aren't they showing a led zep concert, or the WHO for example? or GENESIS? it is after ALL meant to be part of 50 YEARS OF ROCK EXCESS NIGHT!
yet they choose Queen's of the Stone Age!?
It is Definitely a subliminal if you ask me.
I am surprised they didn't go all the way and show JURASSIC PARK before it all!
I wonder if this will mean an upgraded wembley show? We know it was filmed in video, so there wont be a true Hd upgrade, but didn't they upgrade that clip of Freddie for the olympic closing ceremony?
Peter Gabriel's being interviewed on bbc radio 6 now
for any interested
Can someone please torrent this in HD.
As it be nice to have before B&R mess it up even more.
Well it was the video version cut down, and made into hd. I don't get this we paided twice for a DVD and then we see a better quality on tv???
I know, that's why I'm hoping someone would kindly torrent it
pop it on Queenzone before B&R mess it up with DTS and widescreen.
1. It was not recorded in HD, it was upscaled for CH4 HD and looks no better than the standard dvd would when upscaled.
2. IT'S OFFICIAL
then why is Story of Bohemian Rhapsody and Days of Our Lives up on QueenZone, if Wembley isn't allowed, that is also a televised version.
^ Story of Bo Rhap is unreleased so it's allowed. DOOL was up on QZ BEFORE its official release. I don't think it's even being seeded.
horrible version of the concert
bad edits 1970's special fx
which are ok in the right period
but dated the concert and looked naff
now if they could add digital fx now that enhance they should but not this crap!
because the fx in this version made at the time are not anywhere near even the fx in a kind of magic that came out before the day of the concert!
everyone complains about seeing this concert again and again
but at least it is usually presented to give its fullest impact of live Queen at some of their best and gives the live concert feel very well
but this terribly edited down version, with the stupid 70's sub standard SFX, destroys any sense of the live excitement of Queen on home turf back in their city for the last time!
This version destroys the actual concert and the whole experience of the day to night as its edited so badly, there is no journey, no chance of feeling the vibe of the live experience.
and if i was Queen i would get all copies of this version and destroy them.
If Jeremy Kapone had been Freddie, and the show directed by Dexter Fletcher, it would've been way better.
