does anybody know the song called "in search of love" ?
few days ago I´ve seen the original lyrics, in the "rock museum" in munich, written on two sheets by freddie .

Personally no, can you shed any more information about it? How legit is this museum?

www.rockmuseum.de It is in the Olympic Tower...so I hope visitors are not in fear of heights :)

It`s pretty nice there.

The song never had an official release...as far as I know. But it was recorded( even some sources say "NO" to that)...no idea what happend with the tapes.
Munich - Cocaine and low taxes ! You can add me on FB - Musicland Munich QZ - don`t miss the QZ !

here are the pics of the lyrics I shot. unfortunately I can´t read all the words. Maybe there is someone to make the lyrics readable.

Here's what I was able to make out:

Man with the money is standing on the street
Check the pretty ladies and working (?) maybe
Which one to treat (?)
The world turns slow and still we do not know
You (?) your trade and the bills get paid
And that’s the way it goes
And all the lonely people in search of love
In search of love

Middle aged with a life gone wrong
Need another lover (?) to get it on
Cold hard cash is all that lasts
The moment is gone and before too long
It’s in the past

And all the lonely … etc.

Straight laced, smiling face
(?) of approval
All the saints, state of grace
Look down upon us all
See our tease, hear the progress
Listen to the problems
No problem at all

I've included my idea of the hand-written lyric and filled the ?'s/gaps with what I reckon to Lord Gaga's transcription

Man with the money is standing on the street
Check the pretty ladies and wondering maybe
Which one to treat.
The world turns slow and still we do not know
You ply your trade and the bills get paid
And that’s the way it goes
And all the lonely people in search of love
In search of love

Middle aged with a life gone wrong
Need another lover to get it on
Cold hard cash is all that lasts
The moment is gone and before too long
It’s in the past

And all the lonely … etc.

Straight laced, smiling face
Chorus of approval
All the saints, state of grace
Look down upon us all
See our tease, hear the progress
Listen to the problems
No problem at all

Ah, your additions make perfect sense! Thanks!

Maybe one for his solo album, has that kind of style to it.

The doodles might suggest the song was written somewhere around the Innuendo era or even later than that.

'Dreaming', 'Tranquil', 'Magic', Frantically' etc.. could have been used to start off the lyrics for 'A Winters Tale'

Also 'Middle aged' 'Life gone wrong' 'Only cash lasts' makes me wonder if this isn't his way of getting to terms with his pending doom.
Like Brians lyrics in TSMGO.

here's what I thought might be those missing words;

Man with the money is standing on the street
Check the pretty ladies and wondering maybe
Which one to treat.
The world turns slow and still we do not know
You ply your trade and the bills get paid
And that’s the way it goes
And all the lonely people in search of love

The moment is gone and before too long
It’s in the past

And all the lonely … etc.

Straight laced, smiling face
Chorus of approval

All the saints, state of grace
Look down upon us all
See our tears, hear the problems
Listen to the problems
No problem at all

(fade to end)

The only bit I changed are the words 'tease' and 'progress' at the end, to 'tears' and 'problems.' I'm not sure they look like the right words though, but I think they go with the overall feel of the song which seems really sad.

it seems to be about lonely people, in particular a wealthy middle aged man, going to visit prostitutes (on the street, which one to treat, etc).....and how the moment is gone so soon and the only thing that lasts is cold hard cash. How the straight laced get a chorus of approval and the saints look down upon all those lonely people (look down as in judge).........not sure if the song is asking them to see the tears and hear the problems or if it's just saying that those pretty ladies have no problem in listening to them....

That's just my first impression, but of course Freddie didn't like interpretations....and there I've gone and given a brief one, lol
