Where were these photos taken and when? The photo of john I would say was early to mid 80s but the fact that you can see a fender strat headstock in the shot tells me its unlikly to be with queen live. Studio or rehersal perhaps?
The brian photo I would say looks like the game era judging by his hair. He's playing a guild 12 string which is a common sight in recent years but back then its usually ovation pacemakers (live anyway) again thats not to say he couldn't have used one elsewhere?

The picture of Brian was taken in 83 or early 84 at the Guild factory during a visit to see how work was going on the Guild BM guitars
The pic of JD was taken atva private party during 82. John is playing a Wal bass which I believe he has never owned

The photo of Brian was probably taken in February of 84 when he first came to Guild. I lived around the corner from the plant and my buddy Todd was working there at the time and Brian came in with the Red Special and they took it apart, measured it up etc. I drove by with my girlfriend and saw his limo but couldn't get inside.

Not sure where the pic of John was but I'm sure I've seen it before in an issue of the fan club magazine. If memory serves the photo also includes Simon Kirke(Free, Bad Company)on drums and tennis players Vitas Gerulaitis and John McEnroe on guitar.
