Queen –Live At The Deutchlandhalle, Berlin, Germany, 30-11-1980
Lately I was comparing my copy of “Berlin 30-11-1980” with the most common copy available on the net (like “Berlin Hero” from the Unbridge label), and I found out that my copy don’t have the same speed problems like the common one. Therefore I would like to share my copy here, but don’t expect miracles, unfortunately my copy does have some drop outs, specially at the end of “Now I’m Here” and the middle of “Another One Bites The Dust” were for a few seconds the left channel completely is missing. I fixed this by copying the right channel into the left. In my modest opinion I think that the sound quality is a tiny little bit better, but again don’t expect miracles!
Does "Captain Berlin" have speed problems too? I haven't listened to it for a long time ...

Brilliant ! Sounds like yours is closer to the master. Thanks a lot !
The dropouts are on every copy. The gaps are filled in with an alternate source (which has never seen the light of day in its own right).
A few notes to compare it to the old copies:
-there is 35 seconds less tape at the beginning of the show
-Freddie's introduction to Fat Bottomed Girls is cut
-there's an extra couple minutes after Tie Your Mother Down
^ it's beyond me why these old tapes tend to have all these differences !

I didn't hear it yet, but from the description the "ultimate" version would be a merge of "Captain Berlin" and this tape, correct?

Captain Berlin ??? This album contains a concert from 1979!
I wouldn't use the Uxbridge copy, since they just bootlegged that one and did hiss reduction.
Just to keep the generational waters a bit cleaner..

I'll do a merge, using this version to fill in the gaps:
Great then we should call it 'Captain Berlin Hero' ...;-)
I must say I can't remember anymore the orgin of these CDR's, but most propably it's from a cassette transfer I did in the late '80's or begin '90's...(with the first stand alone CD recorders available). In these years I did a lot of similar transfers (some of them were used by the famous Gypsy Eye label .-( ), and did trade them for others...so I could also be possible that the orginal CDR's comes from a trade...
