When is this "Hong Kong Sevens" concert ? Will there be a big audience?
It's on March 29. From what I've been able to glean, Hong Kong Sevens is the Asian rugby world series and QE the main act in the halftime show.

They had 4 singers in that show -- Marc, Jennifer Espinoza, Jeff Scott Soto and a fella from France (can't remember his name). I was worried how Adam was going to perform all of the songs that it took 4 singers to do when he went on tour with Brian and Roger in June-July, 2012. Now I see that Marc is also performing the songs himself. Should be great! Go!
The "fella from France" is Yvan Pedneault who is Canadian from Quebec. He was in the Toronto production of WWRY.

Now, do you have to find a way to inject AL into every post you make? And every time you mention QE, do you have to bring up how "worried" you were that AL couldn't sing Queen songs (how worried can you be when you believe AL's a technically better singer than Freddie?) followed by the ridiculous comment that QE needs 4 singers to perform songs that AL do all by himself. QE used 4 singers on the first tour so they could perform the all the harmonies on Queen songs like Bo Rhap, In The Lap Of The Gods, and Somebody To Love. Now surely you have to admit, that as perfect as AL is, he cannot sing Bo Rhap in full all by himself like QE did. ;-)

That would be because she too is pregnant :-)
Whoa! I guess she's leaving the band for good then (instead of paternity leave like Brian) since her name was taken off the official site while Brian's wasn't?

Anyone knows if Brian Gresh or Tristan will be back? I will miss those two really. I know i sounds stupid, but I dont like the idea of getting a bald stand in on guitar :P
Brian will be back but Tristian won't because they decided to stick with one guitarist in the band. Tristan is currently the lead guitar on the WWRY North American tour, so that's probably why they couldn't have him sub for Brian.
You're confusing me with someone else -- I have NEVER said that Adam is a better singer than Freddie, technical or otherwise! I WAS honestly worried that Adam wouldn't be able to handle the 2012 tour with Brian and Roger after seeing those 4 amazing singers in QE. And he did not sing ALL of the songs as Brian and Roger had solos as well as duets with each other. I thoroughly enjoyed the QE show and thought it was awesome!

The hardcore Lambert fans seriously need to get a grip on the 'guest in a house' concept and get their heads outta their asses long enough to understand why their actions are causing us to become extremely annoyed with their lot.
It feels at times like being in a halfway house between Queen fans and Justin Bieber fans.

And the "hosts" never pass up a chance to be insulting to their "guests!"

Pot and the kettle. I've seen your posts over at Amazon, I'd be careful with my words if I were you.

You never come right out and say it, but you sure imply it when (as I said in a previous post) you compare other people who sing Queen to AL instead of Freddie like AL is the standard to live up to.

I didn't claim that you said that. I just disputed your comment about "how Adam was going to perform all of the songs that it took 4 singers to do."

QE didn't use 4 singers because Queen songs are hard to sing. QE used 4 singers because their set list included Queen songs that have a lot of harmonies to sing.

I truly did not know that when I saw QE during their first tour in 2012. I thought it took 4 great singers to sing the various songs in that catalogue. They each brought their individual talents to the show and it was great. I certainly never meant that Adam is the ultimate standard for Queen and have consistently said that no one can and ever will REPLACE Freddie! But I never expected Adam to get ripped apart into tiny pieces in that forum. I hope if nothing else, this current venture will gain respect for everyone concerned.

Is the show worth seeing and hearing, or is it something to avoid - a painful experience?
The UK tour was great, I was at Leicester. Go for it!

I wonder if this performance at Hong Kong Sevens will be filmed. Would be great fun :)
Basically blind em and deaf em in the first 10 minutes, and while they are recovering from that put in the less good songs

This site will be running a live feed of the Hong Kong Sevens games. I don't know if this will include the half-time show where QE is performing... cross your fingers!

http://www.irbsevens.com

QE is supposed to be on between 2:00-3:00 PM (Hong Kong local time) on Saturday, March 29.

Going to catch that. Will you be around on the forum at that time? Would be good if we could help each other a bit :)

"sweetcaroline".....she already got temporarily banned from QOL for her silly Lambert zealotry (she goes by CNB over there). There's been a few other 'tards that spam their lust for Lamgoat too

I'm, going to go out on a limb here and give my humble opinion.
The real issue is the sheer amount of performances this upcoming tour has and the short time to do them. I am sitting here on my very old but fairly in shape fanny recovering from a broken femur suffered when I hit an unnleashed do on my bicycle (dog is ok, I now have a rod iin my leg). I a not yet "weight bearing" on this left leg. I went back to convince myself that Dr Brian's knee operation happened less than 8 weeks before the iheart gig. Ouch!! He musta been on major pain meds! Not only was he on that knee in Vegas, but he packed the Red Special while standing! Ow, ow, ow! Then in December the pain came home to him and he had the cancer scare. False scare but still pain, he went on to do the Russian tour with Kerry in March. Very good because they sat together very elegantly while Brian played the RS.

I think in order to successfully pull off this upcoming tour,
Adam may need to be up front and center and really flamboyant to take the camera off Brian who may need to sit for possibly the whole performance in each city. IOW, Adam may need to carry the attention much like Freddie did for so many years. I think he can do it and quite frankly, I don't care if his voice is 100% perfect, its the holistic effect that counts.
The other issue for all of them is the quick change of extreme climate in these cities. Sickness sometimes happens when people go from hot to cold weather or conversely. I conclude with the fear that this tour may possibly tax the health and well being of Q+AL.

I can now see QE play on the big screens at the stadium. But it seems like they are not allowed to broadcast it. No sound....
