I was listening to a clear version of Silver Salmon, and this got me thinking 'what full or nearly full songs from each album's sessions are avaliable?' Here's what I have so far in terms of clear studio bootlegs, set chronologically in regards to the album:
Queen - Silver Salmon, Polar Bear Queen II - Surrender to the City {I'm pretty sure it's Surrender, anyway, considering what's known about it} NotW - Feelings, Feelings (Take 9) The Game - Sandbox* Hot Space - My Boy Magic - New York New York (Movie Snippet), Back to Storm Miracle - A New Life is Born, I Guess We're Falling Out, Dog With A Bone Innuendo - Robbery, Self Made Man, My Secret Fantasy, Face It Alone, Affairs, Grand Dame
* I know the original Beautiful Day demo counts here, but it popped up on the 2011 remaster.
My point on this is the following - we KNOW that there are more songs buried in the vault - have the bootleggers not managed to uncover them or are we all missing a trick here? Only eight albums out of fourteen have unreleased songs available (I'm not counting MiH since it was a jigsaw of sorts), and from said eight albums, only eighteen songs are readily unearthed. We know Queen were prolific as hell in general, but this could be a general lie we've been fed by the looks of my list above.

'Surrender to the city of the fireflies' is the little bit tacked on at the end of March of the Black Queen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YVeO_t6ygc

My Boy from Hot Space? Doesn't make that much sense to me.
Brian's voice sounds 1998-ish to me.
Also, Jimmy May was born in 1978 so a song about Brian's boy becoming a man makes more sense later than 1981-82.
Of course, Brian could have been looking into the future when he wrote the track or he could have been inspired by someone else, etc...
Is there any evidence that the track is from the Hot Space sessions?

I really don't know tbh. I placed it there as that was the info I had (I know that's not how it should be done lol, but there's no "evidence" either way)

Woolly Hat???? Never heard it...or is a joke?

Wiley, 'My Boy' popped up on an unofficial compilation called 'Lullabies with a Difference' in '98 - maybe that's how you got your assumption about Brian's voice? And as an answer to your question, many sources concede that he wrote the song in '82.
Noorie, I see where you're coming from, but I'm sure it was thought 'Surrender to the City' was planned as an instrumental segue into 'March'. I'm sure a lot of fans would be interested in proof that 'Surrender' is in fact the little coda at the end of 'March'.

if I recall correctly, Wooly Hat is rumoured to be a working title for Cool Cat

It's real working title for "Cool cat", BUT my bad putting it on the list, as it should've said Back Chat.

^ The confusion on that very old list I had stems from me being handed the disc which called Back Chat "Woolly Hat". I have since realised the working title is actually for "Cool Cat".

Oh, ok. Thanks for the info!
About New York, New York cover, they only recorded this snippet, so it's impossible to do a proper song.

There are "tons" of material, but most of it will be only in tryout or Demo quality. I didn`t know about the working title of "Cool Cat" - thanks WalterW.
There was an alternative version of "The Miracle" in the pipe - they already announced it in the Fan-Club-Magazine - but it was canceld later. So we can sure about some overspill from "The Miracle Sessions". I am assuming a couple of tracks from "The Game Sessions" and "The Works" also.
Something more complete from "A kind of magic " would be a bit of a surprise to me.
I signed into Queenzone about a year I guess, and this is probaply the sixth "What`s left in the can" thread. And YES somehow it`s still interesting.
