Brian and Roger - Dangerous..?

This is from Brian's website:
Guitarist May says the band are aware that many young fans will never have seen them with late frontman Freddie Mercury. He tells Rolling Stone: “We were very conscious of that in making this decision. This is the closest you’ll ever get to seeing Queen as it was in our golden days – but it’s not a reproduction. We’re here live and real, and we have a great singer. There’ll be a lot of newness about this. It’ll be loud and dangerous, and all the things that people used to look for in us.”

Seriously? 'Dangerous'? In any sense? Both Roger and Brian look like somebody's grand-dads. Sure, the tour may be nostalgic for Queen fans and probably fun for AL's fans, but dangerous??? The 'edgy' dangerous feel of Queen died completely with Freddie.
What do you think?

Hey now, it was dangerous when Brian fell into the hole in the stage where the piano was rising up during the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour.

It'll be dangerous in the sense of losing many fans if the tour does not go well !

I'm thinking it's dangerous to your mental health to listen to this match-made-in-hell.

I think maybe BM might be talking about the possible set list. Almost every time they've played since, and including the Magic Tour, they've presented a greatest hits show. I think there was a hint in what BM was saying that they may play something not usually heard, which on a US arena tour in 2014 may well be a dangerous thing to do.

He also hinted that the staging would be very different and has been based on an idea that RT has.

I think the days of bands being truly dangerous in an unpredictable way, such as the Who in the 60's the Stones to some extent in the 70's and Nine Inch Nails in the 90's are long gone. Except maybe for Axle Rose going on stage two hours late and pissing off people who have paid good money for tickets and his bands crew who have to cram a 3 hour break down and drive to the next show into an already tight schedule.

I think he was just doing some "PR" for the tour, or using a Rock`n Roll phrase without any deeper meaning. Like John Deacon wearing a "Bike it" shirt on "The Game" Cover.

I think the danger is that someone from this forum will try to hurt Lambert.

Might be dangerous to there health. Brian with his dodgy back and last time I saw Roger play live he looked a candidate for a heart attack! :-/

I would love to see him sing Sheer Heart Attack though...

I agree.

This is just something Brian and other musicians use very often to define live shows. Dangerous means live without a net, so to speak. No backing tracks, no lip-sync, no click tracks, playing some new stuff and even improvising a bit. Remember this is a relatively new combo witch adds to the danger part of things.
If something goes wrong, it goes wrong. But for a musician this is the only way to go. It´s all about innovation and originality.

Agree. Apart from the fact they'll probably use backing tracks as they did last tour, so the "live" element isn't quite live. Dangerous if the backing track doesn't play, or skips, then Queen is Milli Vaniili.

Maybe they are including this in the set list....lol! >

You don't think it's a clue about what's going to be included on the new Queen album do you?

The AL tracks will of course be new in a "Queen" show, and it might be dangerous for Brian & Roger if they end up being nothing more than a backing band for the AL highlights.

I don't think there's any danger of improvisation from Brian & Roger when even the guitar solo hasn't changed in 40 years. ;)

I'd love to see Brian play an extended version of Chinese torture, always liked that.
