I'd give Nick Moran a go. I was very impressed with what he did on Telstar. I heard him on BBC R2 the other week and he's a massive music fan.

Although I am starting to think that this movie won't get off the ground now and with the end of WWRY in sight I can see a film version of that looming with Pierce Brosnan as Khashoggi.

They should do a sci-fi movie instead, they have the WWRY script, so it can be easily adapted into a movie with an arranged Queen soundtrack.

Watch an actor lip-singing Freddie is not my cup of tea, i prefer to watch Live in Budapest.

That's good news. Maybe they replace main actor :)

I heard Robert De Niro say that he is involved with the making of the Freddie film. So it is probably going to be big budget. I mean to be also talking before to Sasha Baron Cohen, you would need to be talking big bucks wouldn't you?

Too bad, more delay. The more I see of Ben Whishaw the more I feel he will do justice to the part. He has a "genuine" way about him...like Freddie.

The thing is, films go through all this palava before reaching the main production stage. The difference here, is that we're getting updates pretty regularly from people like Brian or Roger. If you research some productions, you'll find that they took years to come to fruition. Not only that, but, shit happens! - Actors backing out (Tom Selleck - Indiana Jones), directors back out of films (Darren Aronofsky - Robocop), delayed production dates (Upcoming Star Wars film), etc. etc.

This is all very normal guys. It's just that we have, a) A close personal eye on this project and b), Insiders in the form of Brian and Roger to give us that inside info. Oh, and biopics are usually quite budget friendly, i.e. less than 10 million, generally speaking.

FYI, Tom Selleck didn't back out of Indiana Jones. The TV series he was on at the time (Magnum PI) would not allow him to take the part. Same goes for Pierce Brosnan who would have been James Bond YEARS ealier than he was had it not been for the producers of Remington Steele refusing him the opportunity.
