Straight 8 also did Wembley arena 1980. Still got the flexi disc they were giving away.

Re Teardrop Explodes. I'm sure Julian could handle a few direct hits for the fee they were getting.

We were right down the front at MK and were really fucked off at the treatment they got. Some of us were fans before seeing them live.

Best thing Copey said was "You're shouting 'get off you queer' and you've come to see Freddie Mercury?"

The same idiots presumably loved the completely moronic Joan Jett.
No Freddie, No John.....No Queen

INXS would be the best support group that Queen had in my opinion.

Seeing an earlier post of mine, I'll stick with Billy Squier. I did like Thin Lizzy.

My absolute favorite was 36 years ago to the day in Kalamazoo.........no one.

There was a german band on the bill at Newcastle during the Magic Tour ,can anyone remember their name, they were pretty poor.Just a few thoughts about Thin Lizzy,i have most of their albums and they usually contain two or three real gems a couple of nice ballads and i am afrraid to say a lot of filler to hold the album together. They released nothing anywhere near the quality of ANATO,DATR,Q2,SHA,NOTW.I never saw them live but i believe that is where they were at their best. They also released one of the most revolting singles ever "Killer On The Loose".This was before they caught the yorkshire ripper or just after they knicked him.Either way it was in very bad taste. It was amazing that it got into the top 30.On the plus side Jailbreak,Boys Are Back In Town,Sarah,Waiting For An Alibi and others were classics.[/QUOTE]

The German band who opened the show at Newcastle were called Zeno.. INXS were supposed to play but if I remember rightly, their equipment truck was involved in an accident or something. So It was Zeno followed by Quo.. I was there.. I was a lot younger and cuter then mind..
