The Lipton Ice Tea commercial, featuring Lay Me Down (sung by and co-written by Adam Lambert for Avicii's True album) is now being shown in at least three or four countries; the Netherlands, Portugal, Greece (and Brazil?).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVKAPVdwbqI

As spring progresses it should appear in many other countries, as it's intended to be used as a global marketing strategy. Also it appears that Lay Me Down and another of the tracks from True are under consideration for the next single. Avicii's international coverage results in quite a few singles from each album, so this next single will be the 3rd, with probably 3 or more to come after it before the next album drops. Several of the tracks from Trespassing (co-writes by Adam) are being used in other international commercials right now as well. That's got to be a nice revenue-stream, since the song-writing royalties bring in the most money.

ETA: Make that ~10 countries the Lipton Ice Tea commercial is currently playing in.
Adam's international fans tweeted about seeing the Lipton Ice Tea commercial that uses "Lay Me Down" in Greece, Armenia, Russia and the Ukraine yesterday. It seems like the commercial may eventually be used all over Europe.

Here's a tweet from Russia:
"@adamlambert yes love that! Can you believe just now on Russian channel 1 they played yr Lay Me Down in an ad.I almost jumped till ceiling."

I've heard it's a global marketing campaign, which probably means Europe, North America, and elsewhere. It's in some of Canada's provinces now, I hear, and I'm sure it will show up in the USA shortly. I think the plan is to have the Zorb (? the bubble in a bubble they're running in) go through a bunch of international cities. It should be fun to watch the progress.

Nope, have not seen it here yet, then again I'm not basing my hopes/wants/needs for AL based on the one song/advert.

Very cool, and makes the possibility that LMD will be a single much more likely, given this song is being heard all over the place, with more countries to come. He'll get royalties for singing, and then bigger royalties for writing - win/win! \o/

Also, this spring marketing campaign is a great lead-in to the QAL summer tour. If Brian and Roger have plans for the fall/winter (for a new album or an update on the movie situation) maybe we'll begin to see some promo for those projects as well as the tour approaches. It's going to be a fun spring!

@adamlambert I'm playing it here on the radio in Australia. Sounds great mate!

Not quite sure shoshanna's np means (now playing?) but it does seem to be leaning toward the 'LMD is Avicii's next True single' speculation.  Top 40 stuff, and Australia often leads the way with Avicii's singles.  If so, we'll probably hear something definitive soon.

It's odd to have a song being played in a commercial BEFORE being released as a single. Usually it's the other way around!

A 30 second spot is also being played during a German soap opera.  Nothing Avicii does matches the same pattern as other producers.  His stuff always has a global strategy, and I believe they often launch anywhere from 7-10 singles, track by track, off each album.  He's sort of the king of EDM at the moment, and apparently has a brilliant manager as well.  I think they're loving the leverage and synergy to be had with the the upcoming QAL summer tour,

So far it looks like this Lipton Ad is now in ~30 countries, with 30, 60, and 90 second spots.  I suspect there's a larger end-game plan to this advertising campaign, that culminates a larger story arc sometime in ~ June.

I was going to say Maypril - but that's Adam, not Avicii lol!
Here's a great page with a lot of Sound Scan Audios featuring Adam.  The top one is Byron Cooke from the biggest Top 40 CHR station in Oz intro'ing LMD 'rumored to be the next single off Avicii's True album':
