I loved Neil at the Glam Nation shows when he would come out from back stage and take videos of the audience going crazy before the opening song! I also love him on Twitter when he posts his anti-rightwing political rants! He could have had a field day today if he was watching C-Span with all of the lies being spewed at the Conservative Freedom Summit.
You are ranting about that here too?! LOL. I guess QOL just isn't big enough for your rants.

It looks like Adam has signed a new lease at his condo:

"Nancy Sinatra ?@NancySinatra 8m
Saw @AdamLambert this morning at the elevator. He's terrific, working on a new album. @Sweetfour4"

Love this video about Nancy and her boots and RCA:

So that one tweet means he has signed a new lease on his condo? Good lord.

Hilarious!  I suspect Adam would have fit right in with the campy era of Nancy Sinatra.  What I love is how good a visual artist he is - ranging from extreme kitschiness and camp to the more serious side of the spectrum (though rarely ever *too* serious) - while still having that amazing voice.  You don't often get both of those things in one package.

My favorite more serious performance of his is when he sang A Change is Gonna Come.  Even Mad World, a performance stripped down to little more than blue light and a white chair, had more bells and whistles than his ACIGC performance.  That song just stands on its own when it's sung really well.  Here's that vid:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKNIoGbP4Lo

The two things that strike me (way down the list from his performance/voice, of course) are how the two session guitarists look at him during the performance, and how his dad looks at him after.

I love when Neil takes on the goof-ball anti-intellectual conservatives.  Of course it's like shooting fish in a barrel, but still, he does it so well.

Hmm. I guess you don't know much about a guy named Freddie Mercury. Now that was and remains ground breaking visual artist. It makes AL look like small potatoes or a copy cat.

Brian and Roger like working with Adam because of his ability to be theatrical and interpret their music with flair and flamboyance. He doesn't just stand in one place and sing a bunch of words!

Well duh.  Just kidding, but seriously, isn't that obvious to everyone?  They like his energy, his bigger-than life stage presence, his OTT campiness when their songs call for it, and of course his out of this world voice.  He's not Freddie, but they think he's like Freddie, and that's what they need for their songs.  Love him or hate him (and clearly they love him), it's pretty obvious why Brian and Roger chose him.  Garth's advice to Wayne in Wayne's World - Live in the now! - is especially funny in light of this choice and the controversy surrounding all their Queen + projects.  I guess that means art imitates art imitates life...

Okay, personally I think of this sort of thing as pseudo-psychology at best, but at the same time I think this guy is dead on right about Adam, in whatever terms he uses.  I think it explains the sort of hyper response he often gets from people who have seen him live.  When he sang the Bowie medley during the AI tour after his season, I thought this whole concept of masculinity and femininity in balance was really strongly on display.  Of course with Adam's 'new-age hippy' personality, I imagine this stuff is right up his alley, next to astrological charting and all.

Wow, where did you find that analysis of Adam's masculine/feminine energy? Explains a lot about his attraction to both men and women and I like the mention to Elvis which I noticed immediately the first time I saw him.

Not exactly related to your post, but I haven't seen this amazing live performance of "Whataya Want From Me" posted previously. A very good example of that energy, charisma and stage presence that has the audience going crazy!

The sexual energy vid was posted on one of the Lambert forums.  If you look at the side bar you can see some readings for other celebrities.  Apparently this guy works with actors and performers to help them find the balance for themselves and the particular role.  I though the one on Henry Cavill's Superman was pretty interesting.

I found a Bowie medley vid with better audio.  It's not often that Suz is bested, but this fan definitely managed it.  I changed the original link, but here it is again:

Here's another vid by the same fan, this one of Whole Lotta Love at the Maxidome festival in Moscow.

Caroline, there's an interesting discussion about the whole sexual energy analysis thing on another site.  The part I think is interesting is the theory that this strong yin and yang balance (integrated feminine and masculine traits) is what makes him a polarizing figure.  That not only this balance, but his comfort with it, exudes a high level of confidence, and people tend to see that in one of two ways.  Either they admire that confidence, and love him, or they see it as arrogance and/or a lack of humility, and don't like him at all.

This makes a lot of sense to me.  And it really works for the American Idol demographic as it has devolved over the last five years as well.  A lot of those people are older, less educated, and poor, which, in my experience goes hand-in-hand with low self-esteem, and a distrust of those with high self-esteem.  It doesn't mean he has any more or less fans that any other artist, it just means that his fans and anti-fans generally have a much stronger emotional response to him.

Whether the cause and effect logic is valid, the result is pretty plain to see.  Love him or hate him, people can't stop talking about him.  Of course Brian and Roger probably love this aspect of Adam, because it's sure helping a lot with the summer tour sales.

LOL. I'm not sure what is worse. That he is like a long lost son to some, then to post about his sexual energy. At least I know where your head is at, it's not about the music after all. Thank gawd, you are just a spokesperson wannabe after all.
LOL.
