Hopefully one day even if it's years from now people will appreciate some of the things I've done. Isn't that what everyone wants though.

Oh, people are bound to appreciate some of the things you will have done. For instance, I'm sure the vast majority of people familiar with your musical output will greatly appreciate it when you give up music.
