I`ve found two articles (german) in my print archiv - and together they could make a sense I guess.

The black/white newspaper print is from late 93`, Roger about a comeback with George Michael: " No,this would just be a "washed up" version of Queen"

The coloured article( collage with G.M. as frontman) is from early January 94`and starts with "The sensation is perfect - Queen will be on Tour again". Brian was quoted: " Usually we don`t want to be Queen no more, but George convinced us"

In both articles their solo Albums and "MIH"( not released at that point) were mentioned. Brian`s "Live at the Brixton Academy" and Rogers at that point nameless Album "happiness?".

My personal opinion is, that this "Tour" never was a realistic scenario. They just used it to push the sellings of Queen albums and doing Promo for themselfes and to stay in the limelight ( maybe addictive to limelight :).

( don`t be confused about other sidekicks and some dates "MIH" was usually planned for 1994)

Yes!

The only tour I was ever aware of was talked about in the late 90's fronted by (that clown) Robbie Williams. I believe it was Williams who let the cat out the bag at one of his gigs and later during an interview.

After the FM tribute, for a couple of years people were pointing at George Micheal as FM's replacement.

I've never seen the hard rock edge come out of George. ... but I think that would have been the most easily accepted scenario by fans and audiences alike. However as soon as it was the band themselves might have thought it disrespectful.

Tribute concert? Yes
Tribute Tour? Maybe possibly to raise funds etc.

Still. I get the feeling I would have preferred "The Condoms Rockin" to Cosmos Rockin.

Yes, after the tribute concert from 92` to around 95`- the media and fans were "obsessed" because of a possible QUEEN + George Michael Tour.

Yeah, no fucking kidding! That's pretty amazingly convincing work for a '93 production

Come on guys, photo manipulation exists as long as photography. Here are a couple of random pics : http://twistedsifter.com/2012/09/photo-manipulations-before-digital-age-photoshop/ - I've seen a wonderful site with manipulated pics from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, unfortunately I can't remember the address :-(

First let me say thank you for bringing this topic up, because i remember this picture on Bravo(?) magazine.

I don´t understand German so, me and other Queen fans at my school thought that they had reunited for another gig- This was before the internet, and i remember a few years later to search the internet for this "secret gig" they made with George Michael.

Thanks for clarifying that.

Does that mean that the Loch Ness monster may be a fake? :-)

On another note, thanks for this link because i believe i´ve found the inspiration for the cover of Innuendo. It´s number 15 "Man Juggling His Own Head, c1880". The moustache of the character is what gives it away. It´s exactely the same.

Maybe some of you already knew this, but it´s new to me, and great to know.

Actually, you can see Freddie right behind him, if you look hard enough!

Actually ol' Georgie would rather NOT talk about any cops at all...
