so many choices, The ones that stand out for me is Queen side 1......Side black...SHA side 1...ANATO side 2...ADTR side 1....I used too say Side Black owns them all, but after years of listening i'll say ANATO side 2....The Prophet song/love of my life combo is my favorite 12 minutes of music they ever did, and of course Bo Rhap isn't half bad either, lol....good Company is brilliant as well...

Best Side: Black Side of Queen II
Worst Side: Side 2 of Hot Space Not the funk side, but years ago it would have been! Now I really get it! Pretty much all those tracks I previously maligned. Staying Power, Dancer and Back Chat especially! Whereas Calling All Girls, Cool Cat and Las Palabra De Amour are three of my least favourite songs in the Queen catalogue. Even the best tracks for me on side 2 (ie Put Out The Fire and Life is Real) are not that great by Queen standards IMO, even though I still like themj.

These are like two poles, aren't they?
I quite admire Queen's bravado to come up with something like "Hot Space", but I think I do agree with you. It shows you two totally different types of courage and experimentation. One which is pure genius crying out to be heard, bursting with brilliance, and another one which is kind of lousy and like trying to push yourself in the direction which you know is wrong, against your own will. You must be a quintessential early Queen fan, I think.

Yet the next album The Works was lacking in bravado, yet had 3 or 4 hit singles off it!....lol
