Is it just me or did Freddie not seem to have much interest during this tour ? After watching all the footage available he seemed to have a lack of interest when compared to his normal stage persona. Maybe I'm wrong here but he just seemed to have a lot more laid back approach ?

It seems the band matured a lot between Hot Space and Works Tour. They lost the fresh cool but brought more solid performance.

^I can partly agree...from the footage I`ve seen there were some songs where he performed a bit lacklustre ( Radi GaGa) for example.

Yeah, it seems pretty clear that the band were already going through the motions a few shows into the 1984 tour.
Roger Taylor later remarked that some tours were a complete farce. 84-85 was probably one of them.
Things were not pretty behind the scenes around this time..

He didn't look very interested when he went past me and my wife in his Roller on the approach to Wembley arena, didn't return my wave or anything.
Hmmph.

I kid you not sir !. - never had a ticket, we were in the hands of the evil touts, who wanted £70 a shot,(in 1984), we couldn't afford two, so I declined buying just one, would have meant leaving Marie outside on her own at the mercy of the big metropolis.
...........and then, very fleetingly, Fred came past, near where we were standing.
. And there you have it.
