I am searching for any software which plays bluray discs.

Requirements :
- price is not important (it can be free or commercial)
- it must be able to play BD discs from blurays AND FROM HDD !!! (so no PowerDVD)
- it must support menus, including java based menues (so no XBMC/openELEC/MediaPortal/VLC)

It must play also encrypted discs, either alone or with AnyDVDHD.

Any tips? I can't believe there's not a single one BD player software, since there are tons of DVD players

You also have a stand alone blu-ray player, right?

The reason why I started this is that I'm trying to play downloaded and/or ripped bluray folders without having it burned on a BD first. Most of the software on the cnet link is useless crap unfortunately, I tried most of it already

PS4 supports BluRay (but not 3D-movies, I read it somewhere on the Internet).

Thanks Barry, but VLC doesn't support menus, and makeMKV is a ripper. XBMC does support some menus, but no Java menus.

ITSM - that's good, but PS4 isn't software which I could install on my PC :-)

It's weird but I really start to think that no such software exists. It's really, really unbelievable.

That's true, PS4 is hardware - sorry about that.

Are you sure VLC doesn't support menus? I've downloaded some fake Queen DVD's over the years, and I'm pretty sure I saw menus, and could navigate in them...? Like Houston '77... Right click on the folder which contains everything, and chose "Play in VLC."

Yes, VLC supports DVD menus, but not Bluray menus

How about this? www.ideerapp.com/
Apparently it can play BD folders as well, you just have to drag it onto the player window.

I tried that one. It doesn't support menus, instead of using the existing java-based menus it creates its own menus for play, settings and chapters
