I took the liberty of taking your cleaned up version, cutting it up and synchronizing the bits to the audience recording.
Granted, the first 3/4 bits with Freddie were placed somewhat randomly, since I had no audio cues from the tv report video.
Yeah, it's only 30 seconds of footage for a 3½ minute song, it's not much but still fun to watch :)
Nicely done !
But man, what a frustrating watch, knowing that the whole song is sitting in an attic or a vault somewhere.
I bet my left nut that this german TV report is in circulation. It is available at the broadcaster`s archive as far as I know. They sell "personalised copys" to private persons. Whatever that means...the costs are around 50 Euros in this case. Unlikely that nobody has ordered a copy.

I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to gather a few people here who would contribute to that. Can you look into it further ??
Thank you Chief Mouse. It looks great!

.
Thank you Nitroboy.
I really loved when Queen appeared on the screen :-)
In a way, this clip kind of makes me appreciate the amount of video we have of Queen - both official and non-official.
Actually I already was on that subject . As far as I can recall they send me a standard-mail and guide me to their archive.
The costs are in this case "ridiculous" low.
In case that they cut out the three and a half minute Report and put it on a DVD it cost around 35 € !!!
In the worst case you have to take the whole "Abendshow" and end up at around 50 bucks...both prices included shipping already to a german adress.
These are the good news...
...the bad news is, it is impossible to get a permisson to share it on the Internet.
I have to submit my full adress and my Bank Account. So they have me by the balls if they identify my copy circulating on the internet.
I `am looking for more informations what a "Personalized Copy" means in this case, maybe watermarked with a number or something else. I will keep you updated if I find out something more.

No it is not. T|he rest of the footage is cleaned from the cuttingroom floor. Only the digibeta broadcast tape survived.
The B material was binned, which was quite usual for the 70's and 80's.
Actually I had contact with the RBB some time ago. And they give me the information that the original footage is about 03.32 Minutes long ( might be flawish math by them ) and was aired on 4/29/1978. Edition of the "Berliner Abendschau".
