I don't have time to do a full Winnipeg show review, hopefully tonight. Got a setlist, got to meet Brian before the show, and had the time of my life being one of the only people singing all the words to Love of my Life 15 feet from Brian (in the crowd obviously!) out on the catwalk island.

Here's a video I shot of part of Roger and Rufus' solo out on the island. I didn't get to meet Roger, but seeing the man whose performances inspired me to take up drumming doing what I love to see him best, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME... It's a night I'll never forget.

And here's me meeting Brian! We actually had a decent chat, as I brought my vinyl Back To The Light for a personalized autograph. Other people just brought blank scraps of paper. He's pretty good at sussing out who is selling stuff on eBay and who is a real fan.

He actually told some of the people in a friendly but eye rolling tone "Really? This was the best you could bring me?". I don't blame him.

Anyhow, while he signed scraps of blank paper, we actually had a good minute to shoot the breeze. He's incredibly generous with his time. I hope everyone who hasn't met him gets a chance to do it some day!

How did you meet Brian? Did you wait outside the venue's artist entrance area or something? (And if so, what time did they arrive for soundcheck?)

Let's bring in a good song like Drowse .and drop these pointless 'Drum Battles', they are pretty damn boring.

Yeah, I am considering going to the Philly show and my 16 year old and I would love to meet Brian. About when before the show and where did you meet him?

I met Brian (and said hi to Roger!) outside of their hotel.

In a smaller city like Winnipeg, it's easy, as there's really only one hotel in town where famous people stay. (That's actually kind of sad, isn't it?) Everyone who is anyone stays at the Fairmont downtown, so I just took a chance and camped out there. from about 1:00pm until 3:30 when they left for the arena.

As for Philly, jeez. Who knows WHERE they would be staying! :(

And inu-liger, soundcheck would have been done quite early. The Lambert fans camped out at the hotel told me that Brian and Roger came back to the hotel around noon or 12:30.

Ok Mr Donovan, it's official: I hate you, lucky bastard!

Just kidding! Its a dream for me to actually see both Brian and Roger live, I cant even imagine to have them in front of me to sign something or anything like that...

I hope one day I will be able to meet them!
