I know there were complains about RMT for the opening night in Chicago, specially for Stone Cold Crazy. Yes, was very slow..But I think Roger still plays very well. Playing Queen songs for a drummer is demanding , not for technic, but for stamina. Roger is 65 I think in July..still singing "Under Pressure" and playing..well guys..Respect!

I think he's playing better now and not as awkwardly as he did two years ago. He must have had some sort of a change in regiment, because he was consistently on form and then some in Calgary and Edmonton :)

As a drummer myself, certain Queen songs can be tough to play. So it would make sense for him to have a hard time with some songs.

Let's not forget that there is a total body physicality involved in drumming (arms, legs, hands and body) that goes beyond that experienced in guitar playing. And yes, Roger is close to 65 and even playing what he does is an achievement. From what I've heard, Stone Cold Crazy is back to a suitable speed. That being said, I wish Roger will drop the damn drum battle (such a bloody waste of time and energy), and get back on the kit for Tie Your Mother Down. Rufus is doing a fine job, but it' snot the same.

^^^^^ yes totally agree.
Another point the RT bashers are missing or forgetting is the number of other bands or live act who tour with percussionists, who very often fill in parts to make a drummers live easier.
What about Pink Floyd on the Momentary laps tour, on which even David Gilmore said they needed the 2nd drummer/ percussion player because Nick Mason could no longer cope!
Admittedly he improved on for the Division Bell but still had the second guy to fall back on

I think Roger is doing fine. I agree with the poster of get Rufus off the drums for TYMD, maybe put him on for SCC. TYMD with Rufus on drums feels rushed, and I didn't particularly care for it. Rufus is a great drummer, like his father, but he tends to push the tempo a bit. Just my opinion...
