John Deacon autograph authenticity

About two years ago, or maybe more come to think of it, I sent off a CD cover to John Deacon's office in the hope of getting it signed. I'd forgotten about it long ago but, today, I received it back signed (and personalised) with a lovely letter from the MPT offices. I am ecstatic and very grateful, as the letter says I am one of the lucky ones who obtained a signature as John doesn't sign much these days. What I wondered is if anyone can confirm its authenticity for me (see pictures). I know and understand that some musicians use secretaries to write he signature but maybe someone can tell whether that's the case or not. The signature is a bit smudged but please have a look and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks :)

If it's authentic, and if it is from 2010's, specificly 2014:

You should be very very very very very very ecstatic!
And you should be very very very very very very, very lucky!
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

What's the John Deacon office?

Congrats, you lucky bastard!

Now, seriously, I dont know if its real or not, the ink looks so cheap, but, considering it came from the MPT you may argue that it is the real thing, I dont know why on earth they would lie to the fans, specially considering that John is retired from music.
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

Yay, proof that JD is still alive! What we don't know is that he's being held in a small cell and is made to construct pre-amps with just as bare lightbulb, a rubber screwdriver and a soldering iron. That's what you get when you don't read the fine print in your contract with EMI...

Holy shi*! You ARE lucky. I mean, John is almost as dead as Freddie (not physically, of course), yet you managed to get an autograph from him. Take care of it!

Just noticed that the letter refers to an "autographed signature" - clearly therefore he was supposed to put his signature on and then add his autograph over the top of that, but you've only got it once. You should send it back and insist on the extra one as promised in the letter! :-)

The address I found here - it's a public link so I see no harm in posting it http://www.fanmail.biz/114078.html
My letter said that they would be unlikely that they're able to get any more, but hey there's no harm in trying.

Compared it to other signatures online and it does seem to be the real deal, and thanks for all your opinions! Just glad to know he's still out there. I understand to get a JD autograph in the year 2014 is so rare that its virtually impossible, so I am taking good care of this one!

Lucky Man! Take good care of it, because it is really a gem. To have a John Deacon signature in 2014 is really special. And it only took a couple of years for him to do it :-)

BTW, thanks for the link. Maybe i will not request his signature, but i may send him a letter explaining what his music means to me. It´s good to know that he is still alive and that fan letters still get to him.

Now you can email this adress to Brian and Roger, just in case ... :-)

So the Goldfinch addy is the one you used then? You should post your result on that website there :)

Yes, you really should do this. But the JD office has removed to a small village near Munich. I will send you the new adress via PM :)
