He recorded brilliant records with the Jam, some great solo stuff.
Yes, true, but he can't sing for toffee!

And he is an ambitious b@&£)(-/rd - whenever his band The Jam failed to crack the USA he ditched them for a pseudo-soul outfit, then dumped them and tired to be Eric Clapton

He is where he deserved to be, plugging away in the smallest venues in the UK.

I don't think Freddie had the slightest interest in his opinions...

I didn't want to annoy anybody when I started this topic...but I'm happy that I annoyed Groucho...
"He knew exactly what was going on. He knew that was his last performance, he could barely stand." Roger Taylor commenting on Freddie's last video appearance.

Well, I saw him in concert and he did good concerts by his age, and brilliant arrengment for the Stealy Council songs.
Other thing is the person.

I can assure you that nobody knows who the fuck he is in North America...
Then I guess I'm not from North America.. ;)

The Jam were a brilliant punk band, and Paul Weller's latest stuff is fab. "22 Dreams" is definitely one of my favourite albums of the last decade. Highly recommended.

The Jam are mainly rememembered in the UK as a Mod band. Setting Sons is an excellent album and 'Smithers Jones' one of my favourite songs. It reminds me of The Beatles' 'A Day in a Life' and ELO's 'Diary of Horace Wimp'. Their most well-known song is probably 'That's Entertainment' from the Sound Affects album.
