I appreciate that this wont count, but I received 2 emails from Brian a few years ago. I'd sent him (via his web page) a photograph of the moon that I'd taken which had a strange halo around it, and I asked him what it was. Brian very kindly replied with a fairly lengthy explanation. I then fired off another email thanking him for his answer and wishing him well for the tour with Kerry Ellis which he was about to undertake. Brian sent me another email thanking me for my good wishes.

I met Roger at outside WWRY in London, had a nice chat with him, he was very cool... and I met John shopping in Knightsbridge around 97, he was very shy, but was happy to shake my hand and chat very briefly.

I've met Brian four times, three for a book signing (last was last year at the Strand bookstore in NYC...I gave him and old 3D stereo photograph and he said 'bless you' twice)...the first I've written about in the book 'Bohemian Rhapsodies.'

It was in 1991 when he played with Les Paul at Fat Tuesdays' in NYC. I was fortunate enough to hang out at the bar with him with a friend for at least 20 min or so...bought him a beer, lol...and asked many questions. At one point my buddy mentioned that I had 100 live Queen shows and I apologized to Brian saying I knew he wouldn't be happy if fans were listening to some stuff if it wasn't in the best quality and he said 'oh, no if you enjoy it, then that's great.'...He mentioned that a new song would be on the forthcoming release of Queen I (on Hollywood Records) and it was called Mad The Swine (it was hard to understand the title..I thought he said 'Madness Wine')...I asked if See What A Fool I've Been would be on the Queen II remaster and he said 'you know, we didn't think of that'...he took out a pen and paper and jotted it down....not sure if that had anything to do with it being on the subsequent reissue.

There were lots of other little tidbits that you can read in the book (although it was heavily edited)...he was super nice and when my friend mentioned we weren't sure if we'd get into the actual show, he told us (like the above post) to come with him through the back door, through the kitchen and into the club. We took pics after the show and I told him 'White Queen' was my favorite song. He said 'Oh yes, I remember that one.' haha.

The tape of Brian's session with the Les Paul Trio that's on the bootleg circuit was recorded by me.

It was a most amazing night.
