I don't find in the Web stories about/the story about Smile. I only find stories about Smile pre-Queen band.

Interesting: I'm not the only one who gets the titles "Smile" and "Small" muddled up. :-) Gee thanks Rog for having two similarly-named songs on the one album. :-)
And I did mean "Small". And the third one is the reprise on TCR. My guess is Brian worked more on "Reprise" than the TCR "Small", though that has a VERY nice guitar solo on it as well.

I love small, my lads 20 and into all the rubbish music that kids of that age like, but he plays small all the time, in the end a good song is a good song.

The best track from Cosmos Rocks. By far. The reprise is just breathtaking.

Now I feel insulted. Ok, not 20 anymore, but I didn't go in for crappy top-40 music six years ago any more than today. And neither do a huge number of young people - the democratization of music brought on by the internet is solving that problem pretty quickly.

Sorry if I offended you Thomas that wasn't the intention, I'm 50 + and obviously don't relate to a lot of the stuff that my kids and their mates like, but hey my parents hated my music, which made me turn the volume up even more ! I don't discriminate against all today's stuff, there is music in. the charts that I like, but generally nah ! My point was that Queen can still turn out a track that a younger generation can relate to, which is great. Hope that explains it better :-)

Hey. You can't blame him really for making that assumption Thomas.
There are at least 20 music channels on UK TV (through Sky) and only one of them plays old music on a regular basis. The rest of them are the same up to date (c)rap and dance nonsense, so you tell me how the majority of the population gets to hear anything different from sources other than their parents record collections...

Yesterday I found the official Queen Podcast series on iTunes. The first two are an interview with Roger. Not listened to the second one but in the first he talks about Small. It sounds almost like he didn't like the TCR treatment so decided to strip it back to his original intent for FOE.

Ye stripped back works much better, just an acoustic round the camp fire, belt it out !
