In 2005, the first tour of Queen + Paul Rodgers, during the opening a tape was played with It's A Beautiful Day [remix].
I used to have a download from the original remix made by a fan named Robert...???
He had / has his own site.
I really like his mix and can't find it anymore.
Some ideas?

I think his remix was remixed and used on the tour.

That's Ross Robberson (If I have spelled his name right) Dubroc, he had for a long period his own website were he posted some of his self made mixes, I have no clue if his site is still up.

Followed by Eminem's Lose Yourself. I never understand why they choose to use a song by him.

If I remember it right ABBA's "Arrival" has been played as well.

I remember watching a Youtube video, that has since been deleted, of Eminems Lose Yourself playing just before one of QPR's Japan concerts and about half way through it Brian pounded out a few chords from behind the curtains and the crowd went wild.
I think the version you're looking for from Ross Robertson, It's a Beautiful Day/Track 13, was on The Floss Mixes site and it may still be an active site = http://www.flossfm.com/tfm/

That's the one I was looking for.

Not heard "Queen" open with Abba's Arrival, but "The Darkness" definitely do, at the beginning of their shows.

Because it's an excellent song. And a great way to let people know that they aren't dinosaurs divorced from the present.

I believe eminem used a sample of wwry in one of his songs and the use of Lose Yourself was part of the 'payment' if you like

Bad Seed, you're right. The stomp-stomp-clap beat is replayed famously on 'Til I Collapse, one of Eminem's most famous tracks that wasn't a single.
