According to some of my japanese friends, Queen's show in Summersonic will be broadcasted in TV, can anybody from Japan record the show?
Queen: Roger Taylor, Mike Grose, Freddie Mercury, Brian May.

The full Summer Sonic show has been released at Jpopsuki for the last couple of yrs in MPEG2 format, so crossing fingers it gets released this year again.
Later during the year, WOWOW (channel) will typically release highlights of specific artists that may contain different songs from the broadcast. I had originally planned to go to Summer Sonic for Robert Plant as well, but changed my mind to Perth instead. Looking forward to Robert Plant's broadcast. :)

Wow, good to know I'm not the only one here who knows about JPopSuki! :)
But yes that website is excellent for TV sourced music productions, fingers crossed they don't let us down this year.

Which Japanese channel is it on? I have access to a few of them.

Edit, found it.

WOWOW (Japanese satellite TV) will broadcast Queen + Adam Lambert live at Summer Sonic on Aug. 17th (Day 2: Tokyo)

If anyone can record the show its the Japanese. I would make the effort to watch but I am going to be too busy removing my testicles with a rusty blade.

Interesting choice, i won't do that, but if you want go for it. Just be sure to apply the antitetanic vaccine. Rusty metal can be tricky.

This blows, but according to this instagram, it says that due to the lack of time, WOWOW only maanged to broadcast 1 song from Queen (and of course it had to be WATC lol)

WOWOW will broadcast the highlights of the show on Friday, 26 September so they had better make up for it. Also crossing fingers that they do a 30-min artist special later in the year (usually December).

I've received a high def TS cap of the WOWOW broadcast, and indeed only WATC was broadcast. What's worse though: they only broadcasted from the last instance of the chorus onward!

That being said, I'll have it out this week once I find out how to split this into a segment (the file I got is 32.4GB - and that's just for the second part of the broadcast cap!)

That being said, it looks like they're gonna have various highlight broadcasts if I'm not mistaken, take a look:

:( That is so annoying. But on the bright side at least we got something! I learnt yesterday that Muse was the headliner last year and they weren't even shown on TV due to lack of time :P

You might also want to check out earlier in the footage for snippets of Queen exiting their van walking to the venue. I saw screenshots of that. If you don't mind, when you're cutting the video, would you be able to also include the Japanese chatter before, talking about them? My Japanese isn't fantastic, but I might be able to translate it.

To cut the TS video losslessly my suggested free software are either Xmedia Recode (more complicated, but much more powerful) or MPG2Cut2 http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpg2cut2/. I used both software for Summer Sonic the year before and they've worked for large files like this.

Best software, but not free: If you want frame accurate cutting, use VideoRedo (x264 can be occasionally wonky, but MPEG2 usually has zero problems). The great part of VideoRedo is that it allows you to select segments that you want, save the edits as a project file, and when you export the TS file, all the segments are joined together.

ETA: here's a screenshot of the segment of them walking to the performance area: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BvPZr22CQAENKtt.jpg:large https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BvPZ54NCIAARnNP.jpg:large
