Should there be any more boxsets on the way? Which ones?

So folks, we've had boxsets from Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor. Does anyone think that we should have any more? I can't help but feel a Brian May one would be interesting and maybe a few bits of John Deacon thrown together in a seperate set? He's done quite a bit himself anyway and there must be some unreleased bits of his somewhere

A Queen boxset would be nice but most fans already have the albums and many of them would have a few extras too so it may seem pointless. Maybe they should release different ones like they did with DVDs of Red Dwarf. One set for just the albums, one for just the extras. There is no way you would cram everything of Queen's into one box set is there?

I'd like to see more stuff but what does everyone else think?

QPL should release the definitive and complete Freddie Mercury boxset. You should be asking to yourself, why?

Because QPL found more demos after 2000, when the boxset was released. So, we have an (in)complete boxset of Freddie Mercury.

Also would be excellent a boxset containing all about Brian May, considering his solo career is over, like Roger made, but with demos and unreleased stuff.

But an John Deacon boxset is innecesary. I mean, John apart of Queen made some projects, and also should have some demos. But sincerely, who's going to buy a John Deacon boxset, which contains some colaborations and some demos? I don't. John would approve that? I doubt.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

I'd like a Brian solo and collaborations boxset, and
A Queen rarities/anthology/archive box set, without the original albums included again

I don't see the need for a John set - any home demos of his could easily be included in the Queen set; he wasn't prolific and didn't generally sing, even on his home working demos.

By the way, I'm referring to audio only - rare video stuff for starters should include things like the Bob Harris documentary (in full) from '77, plus Hammersmith 79.

The Queen box set would be nice, I can definitely see a Brian box set in a couple of years. What are all these newly discovered Freddie demos ? Haven't heard about that ?

really interesting, to hear some new demo's, maybe reworked in the new queen compilation.

I hope the stuff (that has been used so far) will released in a boxset , just like in 2000 with the FM Box.

We had the Queen remasters in 2011 on the 40th anniversary, we got the Rainbow this year after 40 years, so for next year...

Queen Live 1975

Live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975 with Japan 1975 Concert footage on SD BluRay, Bonus footage of Japan 1975, Queen arriving at the airport with press conferences and picnic, something under the Queen conquers Japan theme. Both shows released in full on CD and Vinyl package, and throw in a program replica from both shows, drop the T-shirt to cover the cost of the extra program. All in a nice Box.

And a large fries and Coke. :)

Maybe they should release a follow up box set of Freddie. After all noone who has the original box set would want all that stuff again in another one, would they?

As for John, how about a one or two disc compilation, if he didn't do much solo or demo material?

A complete Hammersmith would be nice... could do 75 and 79. Could throw in 2012 too.

i think we really need a proper live box set with releases we don't see too often:

how about:-
On Fire at the bowl
we will rock you (montreal)
live at wembley
live magic &
live killers

all in one box, £100, no extra material, no remixing - it's not like ANY of us have any of those albums :-)

The Hammersmith Odeon 75 is, obviously the easier next live release. There are good radio and TV broadcast sources It´s an ANATO tour show and in 2015 it´s the 40th anniversary of both album and show.
The pack will include ANATO (CD/Bluray audio disc) and the Xmas show (CD/SD-Bluray), poster, programme replicas and a piano for the most expensive one :)

Well Queen Anthology is a nice thing to dream about...
As BETA215 stated, QPL "found" more FM demos so I would definitely buy Freddie box set... maybe some of the demos like Love Makin' Love could be reworked by BM+RT and added as a special cd to the whole box-set.
John didn't sing that much but original first pressing and newly remastered Man in the Shadows would be my kind of Xmas gift.

QPL should focus on early gigs and releasing live box sets. Do you think that Greg suggested adding Marquee 72' gig to the Rainbow package when it was discussed during one of the "Queen band meetings" ?

1977 box - two nights at Earls Court, Houston, and the various on/off stage Bob Harris footage
1979 box - audio and video from the entire year, as there is a ton
studio anthology box - we can only wonder how many studio outtakes there are in those vaults.

...but we can dream, right?
