As the current legs of the tour come to an end, it's interesting to see how Adam Lambert had faired, compared to comments made by Paul Rodgers when the tour was announced.
Rodgers was interviewed at the time that the Q&AL dates were announced and he said something along the lines of (and I'm paraphrasing here), that 'Lambert would find it difficult to cope with a tour of that length and shows of that size as he's not experienced, and would probably find it tough to cope with, both vocally and pressure wise.
Looking back, whether you are a fan of Lambert or not, it can't be denied that vocally he has coped admirably with the schedule and hasn't really shown any 'wear and tear' despite the difficulty of the material, and he has also seemed to develop as a performer, and always seemed at ease in any interviews and other publicity for the tour.
When compared to 'seasoned pro' Rodgers, who often struggled vocally with the Queen shows, and could be said to have showed difficulty handling the enormity of the situation towards the end when he fell out with Brian, I think Adam deserves some real credit!

Adam has never missed a concert performance -- ever. And, as far as I can determine, he never missed a performance in his theater years (doing 7 shows, 6 days a week).
The Q+AL tour is a relatively light schedule compared to his Glam Nation Tour -- which was over 100 shows, mostly 3 nights in a row, 1 night off, and all over the world. I think Paul just did not know much about Adam when he made that comment. Adam has been performing for 20+ years and is not some inexperienced kid. He also takes extremely good care of his voice and has very solid vocal technique so vocal stress and fatigue is pretty unlikely.

Actually is a good idea, Staying Power is a great live song. This tour has many good setlist, but if there are more things from Q+AL i will like things like Innuendo, Was it All Worth It, and yeah, Staying Power. More obscure material.

I didn't even know Staying Power was a Queen song. I was referring to another kind of "staying power." But I googled the song and I LOVE it!

Ye give Adam his due, he's lasted the pace and handled the whole tour really well, vocally he's won me over, and I'm hopeful of a European tour at some point.

Check the '82 live versions out (if you haven't already)! Better than the studio version.......the Milton Keynes version is killer..........available on On Fire Live At The Bowl or as on the Hot Space 'bonus ep'....

^ Wow ! cmsdrums will love those replys :)
It´s just my opinion but I would say he was good/solid and he has developed( show-wise and vocally) since the Tour started. Seems like he owns some staying power !
