Hey guys i have some question about this product, have in mind i'm not an expert in audio so...
What's the difference between the wav files and the tracks we have in each normal CD?

The WAV files should be in 48kHz/24-bit as opposed to CD's 44.1kHz/16-bit.
If you're after high resolution though, go for the Japanese SACD releases.

Well, MP3 compress the audio lowering the quality, to make the file more lightweight.
And WAV is a perfect copy of the CDs quality, glitches, etc.

Does 3.9kHz and 8 bits really make much of a difference in sound quality??
I saw that thing on amazon for $299.......seems kind of a waste when you can get all 3 "Queen 40" box sets for just about half that, and have all the 'bonus EPs' too.......I don't know though, I am really not a super audiophile or anything........
Edit: I just saw the Beatles version of that..........now that seems pretty cool............everything in FLAC and 320kbs mp3s.....

Sampling rate: 48 KHz isn't really much better than 44.1 KHz. You'll only gain harmonics (and noise) in the 22.05-24 KHz range.
Bit depth: On the other hand, 24 bits is way better than 16 bits. With 16 bits you have 2^16 quantisation levels = 65536 levels, while with 24 you have 2^24 = 16777216 (256 times over).

I know, hence why I said go for the Japanese SACD's if it's higher resolution you're after. Unless there's a digital download service out there offering in 96/24 or even 88.2/24 for that matter that I'm not aware of (I know GH I & II *were* available in the former on a Japanese digital download website, not sure if that's still the case though...)

Ah, interesting! Hmm......22.05 to 24 kHz, though? I though most people didn't hear frequencies that high!
OK, I just googled it.....that seems to be right around the upper limit for humans.....(apparently porpoises can hear up to 150 kHz!)
