absolutely marvellous, Matt !!!

just listened to it in my car this morning at full volume and was, as usual, blown away, but can´t wait to come back home and listen properly with my headphones on :-)))

I´ve always been one of those from the "I only like the WQ live version (piano > acoustic guitar)" side, but now at last I am able to apreciate the studio version :-)))

IMPRESSIVE!
WQ has never sounded so good, great job!

for the "sitar" solo read this topic: http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1344978/white-queen-questions-.aspx

I was thinking "What Sitar?"

Yeah, that's like a slack-tuned guitar to cause a lot of fret buzz.

Sounds really great Matt! Like everybody else around here, I can't wait for the whole thing!

It sounds so much clearer, mate. Amazing job ! There are many colours in your mix. And it's so respectful to the original. Lovely.

Mostly magnificent, Matt! I love the uplifted backing vocals and guitar, especially towards the end. The only thing I'm not quite sure about is the enhanced bass drum during the first verse. To be honest, I hadn't even realised it was there before, and now it seems almost a little bit intrusive in such a delicate section. I'm sure I'd get used to it, but maybe that needs taking down just a touch during that part? Other than that, a tantalising glimpse of what's to come with the full album. Well done! :)

Agreed with LF. Great mix, the bass drum is un-nerving, perhaps because we're not used to hearing it.

I wish that QP would have given someone like yourself access to the "new" tracks...
The Golden Gate Bridge should have a long bungee cord for people who aren’t quite ready to commit suicide but want to get in a little practice.

Perfect, except the bass drum!

He should be the mixer of Queen Productions Ltd. (is mixer? no?)
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

Only just discovered this site, thanks to my brother sending me a link this morning. I have to say based on a quick listen to The Fairy Feller's Masterstroke and White Queen that I think this is fabulous work, can't wait to hear the rest of the album!

Hi! Thanks to everyone! I'm happy to read you! Welcome to the "new ones" too! The album is sounding really good. Obviously, I could do a lot more with the multitracks, but I'm trying my best with it. I'm getting a bit delayed because I've been working a bit with ADatR and 'Jazz' too, FBG is sounding... different. And I'm making a 2.0 version for ADatR, applying the new techniques I learned with AKoM and QII and correcting some issues. Now I'm really centered with QII, and then I promised 'Innuendo' to be the next album, but I could give a quick polish to ADatR and HS before I start with it.

I always suspected it couldn't be a sitar lol! I supose the sound of it is really well reached. I'm thinking if this "sitar" is the same used in 'Jealousy'.

I like more the piano version too! That's why I'm working the BBC version for CD 2. Really difficult with the sound quality available... and the whole song again... hell! It took a while.

The backing vocals on WQ were difficult to lift up, but they give a more "epic" atmosphere to the song. I could reduce a bit the bass drum at the beginning. No problem! It has been always there, but really hidden and panned to the left.

At the corresponding moment, I'll check LMIYHA too, for 'The Works' maybe. It sounds excellent, but I prefered the BBC radio EQ than the album one. The QF version sounds flat and without shades becuase of the compression. I think I could revert that.

I won't upload anything for now to avoid spoiling the experience of listening the entire album. But there will be news soon!

Cheers and thanks to everyone!

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this, especially to hear what you're going to do with the BBC version of White Queen.
