Queen & Australia

I was wondering, listen the Rainbow cd´s why Queen weren t " accepted "in Oz in 1974

Was maybe the image that they had at the time contrasting with a more macho figure that was appealing to Oz fans?

I think Australians did not make a great impression especially on Freddie and he wrote the place off.

As far as I can tell, Australia was more denim than silk.

They were pretty much unknowns and the compere tried to turn the crowd against them due to off-stage politics, a significant amount of the crowd booed them but the band also won many over too.
