Got an e-mail today from Amazon.ca. I had pre-ordered the Rainbow '74 Super Deluxe Box Set back at the start of August when it was a very good (low) price. The e-mail said they were still trying to obtain this item and asked if I still wanted it.
Just wondering if anyone else got this strange mail, I know there was great interest when they first put the item on their site.

Yes, I did. And I ordered from that site for the same reason you did. Since then, I've seen the item listed on the Amazon.com USA site for the same price but with free shipping, so I cancelled my order on Amazon.ca and ordered from Amazon.com. They say it will now ship soon.

Pre ordered mine from Amazon US on June 19th. It still hasn't shipped and is expected to do so until next week. I live in NY.

Got the same email here...

I ordered my boxset and LP july 9th ; they are now expected to be shipped between oct 17 / nov 06 ... :-(

I didn't cancel my order because the price in july was very interesting ...

Last week I contacted the customer service of Amazon.ca, complaining about the fact that I ordered the product in July but there was no delivery date yet...
To reconcile, they changed the shipping method to "Priority International Courier" for free, now I'll pay 61.29 CAN$ (around 42€) in total for the deluxe box set!!! It will delivered in October.

Maybe you should try the same... ;-)

Same here. I've been waiting for a box set like this for over a decade, I can wait another month or so.

I've preordered the deluxe, 2LP and 4 LP on august 5th, and now I will have to wait until october for the delivery :-(

Mine arrived just now from amazon.ca........along with customs/VAT/UPS charge of €27.60 in total......there goes any of the savings I've made on that box set. Immediately cancelled my order for the 4 LP box set but the 2LP had just shipped today, too late to cancel that one. Last time I order from amazon.ca.

on 8th september i got a message from amazon.com that my payment for rainbow deluxe set has been declined. it was cos i didn't have enough money on my credit card which i wasn't aware at the time. i sorted that problem and they still haven't tried to charge me again even though they wrote this: There is no need to place a new order as we will automatically try your selected payment method again.
my question is did anyone had that situation with them before? how long does it take before they try to charge my credit card again? it's been 4 days already.
