Magic Years Documentary (Early Cuts)

Some really good footage in this.
Why didnt they use some of this in the new Magic tour Doc from Hungarian Rhapsody.

And why do they use the Mannheim, footage of the band walking out on stage for Knebworth?

But they didnt use much footage in the DOUL / Magic tour 2012 Doc... what about them walking on stage from Champions of the world doc....

Do QP have ALL the DoRo stuff ? if so why not make new Edits

even i make better edits than DoRo...

i just discovered new shots of knebworth during daylight on that video. I thought they started recording later in the day but no.
There is footage from one vision tape and from the end of tie your mother down. It seems to be the same camera that recorded Radio Gaga, The world we created and Champion.
Although i am not sure.

I think is Wembley, or maybe Cologne. The sky is dark and due to the bad quality of the footage seems like a roof, but look at that place, is huge.

sec 0:20, it is not knebworth, checking again there is no big screen on top of the stage. Does anybody know how much of newcastle was recorded, Because there are snippets of One Vision and a Kind of Magic. Part of that can be seen on the "a magic year" documentary on hungarian rhapsody. There was 3 or 4 cameras recording i think

Regarding Knebworth, here is a link where brian mentions the Cameras did not record that day and ,therefore, they could not edit what they have, meaning that all the available footage is the awful shots fhey have from the big screen

It's interesting to note that on this day the Video Cameramen were dressed all in white, along with the guys who held the wires trailing behind them. And obviously they had instructions to be part of the show!! You actually see more of them than Roger or Deacy or me!!! And of course there were no "Iso's" recorded on the day - ie no signals from individual cameras were fed to video machines. This means that what you saw on the day is all there is; no re-editing can be done. Unbelievably, this was also true even for the Queen's Jubilee concert much more recently - it only costs the price of hiring a couple of video machines for an evening - but if nobody thought to do it, for ever after, it's too late. Same goes for our last ever show at Knebworth, sadly. But it's much more normal these days, for anything remotely important, to record all the cameras separately so a really good edit can be done later.

As far as I know, not even the screen mix was recorded.

Unknown one is Newcaslte , the Geneva airport (Freddie arrives) bit is in Magic Years, the limo part is driving from geneva airport to montreux and the ship party is in Montreux, all in May 1986 at the montreux rock festival.
