Hi All!!

I'm a Queen fan since 1989, love so many songs especially the ones that Freddy wrote.

I was searching for Queen on youtube as I came across a Dutch (?) artist named Valensia, I don't know if anyone know him? I think he is a fan as he did a marvelous Queen Tribute and I've read that Roger Taylor was in contact with him because he was impressed by his music!! I can't find the article anymore and hoped anyone know where it is.

that is his music, what do you think?? I think his own music is very amazing...

I think he made a very good version of polar bear. The guys should have been well inspired in doing this kind of stuff on Queen Forever....

Hi Mlinssen.

Yes I know Valensia, he's Dutch (me too).
I know him for a very long time, I even have an album of him in my car which I listen to every now and then.
Here in The Netherlands he is only known for his song 'Gaia'(back in 1997), and was then even compared to Freddie and Michael Jackson.
His own songs are in my opinion very good and diverse.

From his own album:

Valensia - by far the best Queen tribute album ever made.

But as a result, he will forever be typecast as a Queen guy. And this is not a bad thing. Much worse things can happen to you :)

Agreed. His tribute album was brilliant.

Agreed, mates. This is simply the best Queen tribute album ever made. I especially like it when he adds his own Queen-inspired bits in songs like Liar or My Fairy King. Great songs selection as well.

I think the guy is heavily inspired (obsessed with) by Queen. It kind of shows in every other song in his catalogue IMO. He's definitely got some talent, that guy.

I prefer his Fairy King to the original and you're right, he adds great original tweaks to the other track. I got the version with the bonus YTMBA and really cherish it.

Get him in the live band!
