No. You can't get multitracks from it. The music is exactly the same as a normal CD, but SHM is just a different quality of CD itself, that supposedly makes the music sound a bit better on a high end stereo system (like a Gold CD)
I'd rather they just released stuff on SACD.

I'm sure it'll get an SACD release down the line. I think so far everything else that's been issued on CD or SHM-CD in Japan has seen an SACD release (not sure about Greatest Hits I / II?)

They released as SHM, SACD and hybrid (as limited edition) here is GH2 in hybrid edition: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/UIGY-9533

Talking of SHM I have been buying the boxed SHM Platinum CDs and so far to to "The Game" which released end of August.Does anyone know the release dates of the next CD e.g. Flash Gordon or Hot Space in this format?
