I don't think anyone here doubts that a 'non-deity' can make valuable contributions to discussion. Lots of people here have problems with Gerry - I'd say pretty confidently that his post count being below 1000 isn't one of those problems.

Indeed. Look at tsskiller for instance; he rarely posts here, yet he's already made some exceptional contributions, such as debunking the Glasgow '79 BohRhap myth of Freddie hitting some high C note for instance!

EDIT: Ah yep, he hits it at both Newcastle shows. I'm not sure what they were on about in the debate, with regards to the phrasing of di-i-i-ie. The vocal's double tracked on the studio version - on one of those tracks, he phrases it exactly like he did when he hit the C5 in live versions, on the other, he holds the note and doesn't drop back down the octave.
