Queen albums were released in the Super Audio CD
Format in a Japanese only limited release 3 years ago.
Does anyone own copies of these?

yes....much closer to the original vinyls even though they are the remastered versions from 2011.

thanx. I also know about the remasters thing. Why the could just use the original master tapes?

Well I assume that the original master tapes are stored in a place with the best conditions available [preserving-wise] and they don't want to use them as using them would bring the possibility of even tiny harm to the tapes and they don't want to do that.
On the other hand if I remember correctly in linear notes to the Absolute Greatest it was stated that they used original master tapes for that project.
What is more, they must've used the master tapes for the remastering Queen II as I'm not 100% sure that it's just fiddling with equalizer and the volumes of each instrument track made the 2011 remaster sound so blisteringly good. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
