According to his autobiography, Rod Stewart, Elton John and Freddie Mercury got jamming in a studio one night and did a few songs under the band name "Hair, Nose and Teeth", before they sobered up by morning and realized it wouldn't have been a good idea for a band name....
Could this be where "Let Me Live" is from?

i heard of this story many years ago, but "let me live" dates back to 1983 or 1984 when Queen were working on "The Works" album. Rod Stewart told that story, He said if they were forming a new group it should be called "Hair nose & teeth. The hair was Elton john, the nose Rod Stewart and the teeth Freddie Mercury. It was only meant to be a joke though!

Sure I read at the time , that it was back at one of their gaffs, one night, not a studio.

It's not a legend anymore, a snippet with Rod Stewart singing on Let Me Live was featured in The Great Pretender Documentary

In a distant memory. I remember something on spitting image. Called lips, teeth, hair, botty.
