Also note that hyper-arrogant behaviour is something you often see in people who have weak personalities. It's a form of over-compensation, not unlike impotent middle-aged men driving Porches and dressing like frat boys.

"abolutism" is the form of government whereby the leader (usually the monarch) has absolute and arbitrary power, not limited by a constitution.

What you're thinking of is "universalism", the notion that whatever it is someone knows or believes applies in every circumstance, at every time.

Anyway, gerry doesn't deserve either term, as both suggest a well-considered, coherent world view. gerry just bitches and moans and basically makes everything else up as he goes along. I'd personally replace "absolutist" with "clueless".
