-12db is that perfect?

Hi Guys

well ive finally purchased the new TASCAM DR-22WL for recording the UK tour in January, im doing 6 out of the 8 gigs, and obviously want the best recording i can get using the internal mics!

was wondering about setup, now i know people have spoken in length about gear etc but as far as i know no one has said what values are best, ive heard on tappersection that -12db is best for peak level, is that good advice?

I would try thetradersden forums for the best advice if I were you.

Not sure if it's the same as with the Roland R-05, but I typically use -13 on that one.

ahh guys cheers for the rapid response! and that actually made me laugh mooghead haha!!! yeah wanted it to be as clear as possible but obviously not distorted, perfect advice as always cheers guys!
