I think that if it wasn't for the venemous and incredibly hateful responses and nonsense posts and DELIBERATE TROLLING of this entity called crap moment... people might have actually been positive in the veneration.
Problem is it's inseparable from its outcome and a great example of fandom and insanity.

Freddie was not of Middle Eastern descent. He was born in Zanzibar, part of what is now Tanzania, off the east coast of Africa.
Opinions on (bad) music aside, in the Wikipedia age you'd think people would get basic facts straight.

The Real Wizard is right regarding Freddie not being Middle Eastern - from an ethnic standpoint, he was a Parsi, and Parsis are from the Southern part of Asia. Geographically speaking, he was from East Africa (off its coast - Zanzibar). Technically and historically speaking, however, the Parsis DID emigrate to South Asia from Iran, although tests on Parsi DNA have shown that they are now more related to the Gujarati (from India) than the Iranians.

i didn't like the song. I also listened to one of the metal songs and didn't like it either. My main problem is with the vocals. Regardless of whether I like the voice sound, I find the phrasing to be quite poor and uninspiring.
I do have a question. Is English the mother tongue of anyone in the band? If not, I wouldn't recommend having lyrics in English, as it is difficult to convey proper messages in such concise way as a song required in a foreign language.
So, all in all, maybe with another singer and better lyrics, it could work better.
