Just wondering, but let's assume the new Band Aid 30 goes to number 1. Would that make Roger the first and only person to have a number 1 in 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's?

Sounds plausible!

Brian will be absolutely furious - he actively courted that achievement doing singles with Cliff and Dappy that stalled at No 2.

I thought 'God Only Knows' would've been released as a single, especially with such a good line-up and expensive looking video.

Yeah, that should be right ! Add his 'only living non-royal " on a British stamp and it makes wor Rog something special.

According to which chart and as a solo artist or group?
If you consider various charts I'm more than certain MJ has achieved this. Even in death. Though I'm talking albums not singles. I may be wrong about that in the 2000's. Don't know his US chart history posthumously

I'm jus thinking UK and someone who participated on a No.1 single. Due to the way singles are now counted in the UK, I don' think you will get artists again that have No 1's in multiple decades. To be honest, it has made the UK charts somewhat redundant.

Jackson never had a UK no.1 in 70's, 00's or 10's.
He only had 3 in the 80's. Surprising.

I think he may well be the first. Go Roger!! I know Sir Cliff had Number 1's in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and the 00's.

Roger was always something special without any of that crap ;-)

Don't think Cliff did have a 00's number 1, his last was 99 and Millenium Prayer I think
