In the end, number 5 is a pretty good debut for another rehash of songs. Actually beat Cheryl whatshername who debuted at number 7.
After lots of exposure, the Platinum Collection went from 164 last week to 49 this week, GH I is at 54 (from 103).
After announcing new songs earlier this year and talking about never heard material, Brian May raised our hope, only to release another compilation with basically only one new song.
I would have preferred a compilation of rarely heard songs such as Soul Brother, I go crazy, hijack my heart, see what a fool I've been and others along with take me to your heart.
So the classic 80s Queen ballads that he talked about is one song, a reworked FM song and a reworked duet. Right, we never heard these musical arrangements before but the songs were known.
