She has a fantastic vocal range, but her tone is not most pleasing to the ear in my opinion.

Yeah eh. I think it's the fact her tone comes across as a whiny, nasal version of Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse in a bad way, EXCEPT I actually do like the latter two (Gaga in particular).
