Q&AL to play concert by the River Thames on New Years Eve to usher in 2015 while being broadcast live on BBC1! Fantastic way to to get slightly drunk seeing in the new year wth my Missus and friends without freezing my tits off!!! Could be a wee teaser of the tour? Will they do Let Me In Your Heart Again?
Thoughts people?

At £120 standing / £170 seating, I'm afraid I'm going to be watching it on tv rather than go for tickets!

Same here, very pricey, but it is NYE after all. I might stay in this year and catch it. Does anybody know if the whole show will be broadcast? I can't see BBC dedicating their main channel for two hours of Queen on NYE.
Arse.

I had the same thought about it not all being shown, maybe the last bit before and after midnight. It could however be on the 'red button' option or BBC2/BBC4.

I wonder if it may even get a blu ray release??

Last year BBC1 New Year's Eve concert was by Gary Barlow. 40 minutes of the show before midnight, then the fireworks, and another 20 minutes of the show. I doubt it will be a full 2 hours this year with Queen, It's organized by the BBC, not Queen.

Of course scheduling can be different this year, but i'm not expecting a full 2 hour show. Maybe something like those iHeart festival things.

The ticket info says doors open 10pm and show starts 10.30pm, so it looks like a full show. Chances are though that it'll only be partly broadcast as per the Barlow one.

Wih the bbc organising this I had expected the tickets to be subsidised rather than inflated - they (the BBC, not the band) really have screwed people over on this.

After posting I too started to wonder about the
Length of the broadcast. I think it will be split and that we most likely won't see the full set. Still great
News though.

If it's anyone consolation, I'm told one taper plans to go.

It's actually looking like an easy ticket: London is so expensive to get to/stay over in during NY, that only locals will probably end up going.

The last time that there was an opportunity to share something in HD was The Nation’s Favourite Queen Song, but the only thing available is an SD version. And i though that in 2014 it was easier than ever to share tv recordings in HD. That's why i asked "HD, pretty please?".

Somewhat hacked off that it was 18+ and over, it's a family night and therefore surely would have been better to let the kids in for it.

Great if you want to see wrinkles and grey hair in the interviews in finer detail but no HD benefit for the actual songs whic were in SD anyway!
